Instalado numa ala seiscentista do antigo Colégio de São Lourenço, o Museu de Arte Sacra e Arqueologia apresenta um acervo notável, rico e variado, num espaço dinâmico da vida artística, aberto à comunidade, atento à conservação e comunicação da sua colecção. Destaque para a Sala Irene Vilar, com peças da artista, e para a Galeria de exposição permanente, onde encontramos peças balizadas entre os séculos XIII e XXI, com destaque para a escultura religiosa.
Housed in a seventeenth-century wing of the old St. Lawrence College, the Museum of Sacred Art and Archaeology presents a remarkable collection, rich and varied, a dynamic space of artistic life, open to the community, aware of the conservation and communication of its collection. Especially Irene Vilar Center, with the artist's pieces, and the permanent exhibition gallery, where we find buoyed parts between the thirteenth and twenty-first, especially religious sculpture.
